While attending Ryerson University, I had the privilege of being a student-athlete. I got my degree in Politics and Governance, played on the varsity men’s soccer team and worked as a sales consultant at Rogers Communications. My schedule was always packed and I learned how to work well under pressure. I learned an important lesson from my coach, Dr.Ivan Joseph; there is always more to give so no matter what you do, leave it better than you found it. It took me a while to understand how to effectively apply this to athletics, academics, and business, but eventually it all came together. Employing this philosophy while working at Rogers made me fall in love with sales. I thoroughly enjoyed working with clients to solve their business related issues, I approached all sales targets with enthusiasm, and loved working with a team of results driven individuals.
I knew sales was the direction for me after graduation, but I realized I needed to expand my B2B experience by taking on new challenges. After spending some time selling for a local digital media start-up, I got in touch with Sales Talent Agency in hopes of furthering my career. Lucky for me, STA ended up offering me an interview for a position within their company. The recruitment process was like no other and it was as enlightening as it was challenging. The objective was to discover whether the match would be compatible, not simply through questions, but practically demonstrating my sales capabilities. Through this process I realized how much I wanted to be part of STA.
I am now thrilled to be with Sales Talent Agency as an Account Manager. This role gives me an opportunity to have a positive impact by helping individuals find meaningful and rewarding careers. Likewise, I have the pleasure of working with organizations to help grow their business by finding the best talent for their workforce.
For the love of sales!
