I am interested in what makes people tick!

I wasn’t always in the recruiting industry, but gained very valuable skills and knowledge in several areas of business ranging from advertising and PR to operations and finally sales where I just lit up.

With huge encouragement from friends and family to head into a sales industry, I fell into recruiting and wondered why I did not do it all my life!

After a successful career selling relaxation massage, (yes, I am certified!), I sought the opportunity to work with a team and have different personalities to collaborate with regularly.  I wanted to continue on the path of health while building my sales skills and utilizing my advertising talents in a service-based role.

I joined a very prestigious health club where I sold the memberships to corporate clients.  I knew that if I was going to break into the business of sales, I would have to truly believe in the product/ service and, being a huge advocate for a happy and healthy lifestyle, combined with a desire to help others, selling fitness was an easy choice.

Eventually, I started looking at other career opportunities in sales that would allow me the chance to service my clients with the highest integrity.

I aspired to be a Real Estate Agent!  On my way to receiving my education, I had to earn a buck to pay for the course and I asked a broker if he could employ me while I was working towards getting my licence.  He asked me to assist the agency with recruiting and I instantly picked up the skills needed to find talented sales professionals for the real estate agency.  I loved the whole recruitment process and learned so much from the “real estate family” I had acquired.

One of my closest friends had been a recruiter for over 10 years and suggested that I take my recruiting career to the next level.  She really loved her job, so I joined her at a boutique firm where I focussed on the financial world, cold calling investment brokers to convince them to move from large banks to small boutique firms.  It was an interesting way to sell others on a role that was commission based because I had to learn the art of influence.

After attaining experience, confidence and momentum for recruiting, I was so fortunate to get the heart of my knowledge with a global leader in retained search.  There I worked with a phenomenal group of professionals who mentored and taught me how to be the best of the best in my role as a Senior Recruiter.  I became a generalist learning quickly how to be agile on searches.  My knowledge spans a variety of roles across several industries ranging from a Director of Marketing & Sales or Research Manager in a bank or food manufacturer to a Procurement Manager or Systems Engineer in a Nuclear Plant or technology firm.

Now I call myself a specialist!  I am “that someone” who enjoys everything in a career revolving around and focused on sales – and this is something that Sales Talent Agency provides for me every day.

For the love of Sales!
