My first sales job started when I was twelve.

Starting with a paper route, I would wake up early in the morning, get my fingers dirty and go door to door.  I absolutely loved the thrill of signing up new subscribers and it was evident to me at this young age that I was tuned for sales. 

Once I finished university I immediately began my sales career selling internet connectivity, web hosting, and domain related products. I remember clients telling me that the internet was just a fad and, through a consultative sales approach, I had to convince them that in fact the internet was the biggest thing to happen to business since the assembly line. I think I was right! 

With excellent experience selling telecom and internet at both the corporate and enterprise level under my belt, I eventually found an opportunity that I could not refuse.  This ultimately led me to recruiting. 

For the next 6 years, I worked in sales and operations management with one of Canada’s leading retail promotions and presentation companies. This position allowed me to get my entrepreneurial and recruitment juices flowing. Along with general operational management experience, I also managed a sales team ranging from 10 to 40 people. Much of the sales management part of the position was recruiting great sales representatives and, from this experience, it became very evident to me that recruiting sales people is what I wanted to do. 

Reflecting on my career, it was apparent that sales recruitment was the natural fit for me!  With this realization, I dedicated a great deal of time researching the best route for me to enter the recruiting industry on a full time basis, and what path would lead me to the greatest success. I am proud to be a member of Sales Talent Agency - an agency that knows sales and understands the importance of finding the right sales person for each and every client.
