My passion is people.
When I was in high school I always knew that whatever career path I decided to choose had to revolve around people. I always had a strong desire to connect with people and impact their lives in a positive way. My first choice would have been to become a nurse like my mother but the sight of blood would make me pass out which clearly, was not a good career choice. After some research, I decided to pursue a career in Human Resources and received an honours degree from York University. Once I entered the working world I held several different roles which exposed me to different industries where I was able to learn a lot on a personal and professional level.
Throughout my adult career, I felt that I wasn’t being challenged enough and I wasn’t making the impact that I had hoped in an organization. This is what ultimately led me to attempt a career in sales and I took on a part-time sales representative position at a stone company where I excelled pretty quickly which was very exciting and rewarding to me. I knew that this is what I should be doing and started to pursue a full-time sales role.
Throughout that process, Truzanne from Sales Talent Agency connected with me and asked if I have ever considered getting into recruitment. At that moment I felt like a lightbulb went off, my human resource background and my love of sales, it was the perfect fit! After speaking with all the amazing professionals at STA, I jumped on the opportunity to be a part of the team where I know I will be able to make an impact and build a rewarding career with a company that is at the top of their game. I am excited to start this new chapter in my life and can’t wait to see what the future holds.
