Our client is a private equity-backed company with over four decades of industry expertise and ranks among the top three global providers of maritime solutions. It operates through four offices globally and has 200+ employees including a strong and well-established team in Vancouver. Digital transformation and a shift toward technology-driven management systems among port authorities present significant opportunities for growth of their already existing 100+ ports and waterways they service. 
 
About the role: Head of Sales, Americas
As a senior member of the sales team, you will work alongside the Managing Directors for EMEA and APAC to strategically drive revenue and success for the Americas region in support of their newly introduced regional operating model. Lead the overall strategy and purpose for the Americas market penetration and expansion with a key focus on the following areas;
  • Contributing to the global transformation initiative focused on streamlining operations and unifying the company under a cohesive strategy
  • Thought leadership & making recommendations around strategic brand recognition and marketing efforts to help drive sales 
  • Creating new sales channels and business partners through strategic outreach 
  • Identifying, approaching, and acquiring net new accounts and opportunities 
  • Expand and identify growth opportunities within existing accounts
  • Regularly meet with key influencers and customers to drive better engagement and strategic conversations for new business opportunities (20% overnight travel required) 
Requirements for Consideration: 
  • Seasoned Enterprise software sales professional with a demonstrated track record of strategically growing revenue with new and existing clients in a sales environment that requires complex software deployment
  • This individual MUST be self-driven and inherit strong leadership skills or previous experience 
  • Exceptional business and sales acumen with demonstrated success managing complex sales processes that involve multiple stakeholders and large contract sizes 
  • You are described as entrepreneurial spirited + a roll up their sleeves type of person + growth/hunter mentality 
  • Location: Must reside in Vancouver or Greater Vancouver area as the role requires significant in-office presence when they aren't customer-facing 
Compensation:
  • $275K total income potential - includes base salary and uncapped commission
