I was born and raised just north of Toronto  and have spent the last 3 years living downtown and exploring all the city has to offer. Growing up I played competitive hockey all around Ontario for 14 years as a goaltender. It was through my love of hockey that I realized how much I loved to compete and, perhaps more importantly, how much I loved to win. It was also through hockey that I realized how much work is needed to do both of those things on a consistent basis. Today I still coach youth hockey in my free time, and try to get out on the ice whenever I can.

I had my first sales job when I was 16 years old selling hockey equipment in a large retail store. It was the perfect setup. I absolutely loved hockey and knew everything there was to know about the gear. It was shortly after I started that I realized how much I liked selling. Especially selling something I liked. The opportunity to talk about the products with hundreds of people each week who shared the exact same passion as me was exciting and eye opening. Furthermore the ability to try and figure out what makes people tick, to listen to their needs, find them a solution, and close the sale was exhilarating. I was hooked. My most recent sales job was selling cell phones, cable, and internet to people in retail stores. And though this too was an amazing opportunity and taught me a lot, I was ready for my next challenge outside of retail.

I am a recent graduate from Ryerson’s Ted Rogers School of Management. I graduated from Ryerson with a Bachelor’s of commerce in marketing and a minor in business law. Fresh out of school I had no idea what my next step was. So I took off to Europe for a 2 month trip to try and clear things up. Upon returning I realized I was quite interested in furthering my sales career in any meaningful way I could. I knew I wanted to find a place where I could work with companies both big and small, and in a variety of industries. I wanted to learn as much as I possibly could about different businesses and figure out how I could help them achieve their sales goals. This is what led me to Sales Talent Agency and why I am so excited to be a part of the #1 sales recruitment agency in Canada!

For the love of sales!
