My client is an established, well-respected, 40+ year old Canadian business that manufactures safety and infrastructure equipment for natural gas utilities, water distribution infrastructure, and diversified construction contractors globally (but mostly in North America). They are looking for a Product Specialist/Sales Engineer to join their 40 person team!

About The Role:

  • Be a product champion and technical resource for the squeeze tool products which are sold to natural gas local distribution companies (LDCs) and corporate subcontractors via both direct sales and high value-add distributors
  • Be involved both pre and post-sale - you will demo the products in sales meetings and also train staff on how to appropriately use the tools post-sale
  • Work with the team to create training videos and materials to make sure clients are better trained
  • Travel with distributor sales reps for trainings and demonstrations
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and distributors, serving as a trusted technical advisor
About You:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
  • Experience in technical sales within the natural gas or waterworks industries OR a technical engineer/operator with experience in these industries who wants to get into sales
  • Strong technical aptitude and knowledge of the natural gas or waterworks industries
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to diverse audiences
  • Resourceful and completely comfortable working independently, but is also a team player
  • Problem solver who is willing to challenge the status quo
  • Willingness and ability to travel across North America (30-40%)
  • Certifications such as PMP, LEED, or industry specific credentials are a plus
  • You can be located in any major city in Canada, with a strong preference for the GTA
What's In It For You?
  • Competitive base salary with eligibility for a performance bonus
  • Health and dental insurance, 5% RRSP matching
  • Work with a growing organization with a ton of growth opportunity
Interested candidates, please note our team checks for new applicants every day and while we would love to be able to engage with each of you personally, given the high volume of applicants we receive we are only able to contact candidates that are best suited for this role.
