Business Development Manager

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in growing the company's client base through
effective prospecting, discovery, and relationship building with private equity firms. This position requires strong cold
outreach skills, the ability to uncover client needs, and an aptitude for uncovering gaps in a PE firms diligence and value creation processes that could be accelerated with their solutions. While sales cycles may vary, the emphasis is on consistently engaging with prospects to lay the foundation for long-term partnerships. Success in this role requires grit, persistence, and exceptional communication skills to introduce prospective clients to the value of their platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES
New Client Acquisition
- Identify, prospect, and cold call private equity firms best suited for their value proposition.
- Build and foster relationships that develop progressively over time to secure the first deal and position client a valued partner.
- Effective discovery to deeply understand each prospect's investment priorities (diligence) and operational needs (value creation).
- Customize and deliver persuasive presentations that align offerings with the PE firm's objectives.
- Effectively manage a dynamic portfolio of prospects, using CRM and sales tools to track progress and outcomes.
- Execute follow-up activities to maintain consistent communication with prospects over weeks or months as relationships develop.
- Identify opportunities for quick wins while balancing long-term relationship-building efforts to grow the pipeline continuously.
- Facilitate seamless onboarding of new clients and handoff to internal teams, ensuring exceptional service from the first interaction.
- Work closely with Account Managers post-signing to ensure the relationship is deepened beyond the initial engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
Professional Experience:
- 2+ years of sales or business development experience in a quota-carrying position.
- Proven success in building trust through cold calls and prospecting within high-value markets (experience in
- private equity or related industries is preferred).
- Strong discovery and communication skills with the ability to uncover and address client needs.
- Proven ability to effectively manage and prioritize a pipeline of potential clients.
- Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Persistent and Resilient: thrives in cold calling and early-stage sales interactions, maintaining focus and enthusiasm through challenges.
