Project Associate
Our client is a high-growth professional services platform supporting private equity firms, venture investors, and portfolio company executives. The organization blends technology, data, and hands-on advisory support to help clients execute critical initiatives across due diligence, value creation, and transaction preparation. They operate in a fast-paced, client-facing environment and work closely with senior decision-makers across private equity and operating teams.
Role Overview
The Project Associate supports senior Project Leads in the delivery of client engagements. This role is responsible for assisting with scoping client needs, identifying and evaluating third-party service providers, and coordinating introductions between providers and clients.
The position is execution-focused and includes research, data management, client and provider communication, and project coordination. Work is closely managed and reviewed by Project Leads, with exposure to multiple concurrent projects.
Given regular interaction with C-suite executives, the role requires exceptional written and verbal communication, strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize effectively in a deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Engage professionally with senior private equity, venture capital, and portfolio company executives to understand business challenges and support solution development
- Manage day-to-day execution across multiple active projects simultaneously
- Conduct original research to map market networks and identify high-quality third-party resources
- Evaluate, vet, and organize information on external service providers
- Communicate clearly and efficiently via phone and email while managing tight timelines
- Coordinate meetings, maintain accurate records, and support project workflows
- Adapt to evolving priorities and take on additional responsibilities as needed in a fast-growth environment
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with a broader team
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple workstreams
- Curious, analytical, and confident asking thoughtful questions to understand complex business problems
- Strong relationship-builder with the ability to establish rapport quickly via phone and email
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree from a top university required
- 1–3 years of professional experience in recruiting, business development, sales, consulting, or a related role
- Preference for recruiting experience
- Candidates with limited professional experience may be considered with strong academic credentials
- Exposure to private equity or portfolio companies is a plus but not required
- Experience conducting internet-based research and using CRM systems and databases (e.g., PitchBook) preferred
- Ability to work in an in-office environment four days per week (Monday–Thursday), with remote flexibility on Fridays
- Candidates must have completed their undergraduate degree and be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Direct exposure to private equity clients and senior operating executives
- Hands-on experience across live client engagements
