Our client is a well-established, asset-based transportation company that has been delivering specialized freight solutions across North America for more than 35 years. Founded in 1989, they specialize in open-deck transportation, including flatbed, step-deck, double-drop, and heavy haul services, and are entering an exciting new phase of growth - creating an opportunity for a seasoned Business Development Manager to make a significant impact.

The Opportunity:

As Business Development Manager, you will identify and securing new business while developing long-term customer relationships. This is a true hunter role designed for someone who enjoys building a book of business and creating lasting partnerships.

How You'll Make an Impact:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers.
  • Identify opportunities within manufacturing, construction, agriculture, energy, and industrial markets. (Strong preference for experience working with major oil & gas and industrial companies)
  • Manage a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Collaborate closely with operations to ensure exceptional customer service and successful customer onboarding.
  • Represent the company at industry events.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven success in transportation business development.
  • Experience selling asset-based transportation, ideally within flatbed, open-deck, heavy haul, specialized, or industrial transportation.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently win new business and exceed sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of transportation operations and customer requirements.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to manage a large territory independently.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • $110K-$120K base salary, plus uncapped commissions
  • Earn a 3% commission on net revenue growth
