While attending the University of Guelph studying Business Management and Leadership, I worked full time at Galaxy Cinemas as a theatre manager and played competitive hockey. From the very first day to the last, I knew I loved solving problems and creating an exceptional experience for all guests who visited. I learned to work with people of all ages and people who came from all walks of life. This taught me how to manage my time in a way that I could balance university, hockey, and social life.
Upon graduation, I went to TD Canada Trust to pursue a sales career and found out quickly that the financial services industry was not for me, but helping others through sales was still my passion. Upon leaving TD I ventured off to Thailand for a month to explore a little bit of South East Asia. When I returned back to Canada, I made a big change to the telecommunications industry as a Territory Sales Supervisor at Bell and spent just over a year there. This role allowed me to continue developing my craft not only professionally but personally as well.
This year, I connected with a previous student with who I had classes at the University of Guelph (an employee at STA) and talked about exciting opportunities that STA had. Right away, hearing about the company I was excited to learn more about it and potentially pursue a career with them. When meeting with many individuals in the company I knew I wanted to be a part of the team. It was obvious this was a company I could continue to grow and build a rewarding career with. I am excited to be with an incredible team and looking forward to many successful years to come.
